“VAHOORA” – Persian Musicican and Hip Hop Artist

Vahid PoorAli, known by his stage name “Vahoora”, was born on August 29, 1991, in the beautiful town of Talesh (The Fortress of Eagles), Iran.
Vahoora is a multifaceted artist: rapper, music producer, composer, lyricist, woodwind instrumentalist, and graphic designer.

His musical work spans both instrumental and vocal domains, embracing a wide range of genres such as hip-hop, jazz, folk, electronic, and film score.

Vahoora is considered one of the pioneers of Old School Hip-Hop in Iran, in both instrumental and lyrical forms. He discovered hip-hop in 2007 and began his journey in Persian rap in 2008.
Over the years, under various stage names, he created numerous tracks—some officially released, others shared informally. However, a difficult life path, poverty, and harsh social conditions led to extended pauses in his artistic activities.

Vahoora's career can be divided into two major phases:

First phase (2011–2018): A period of steady but non-professional activity, during which he released a Persian rap album titled “Jadeh” ("The Road").

Second phase (2020–present): After a break between 2018 and 2020, he returned with two singles, “Sing With My Heart” and “Ocean Waves”, marking the start of a new chapter in his official music career.

Vahoora’s artistic signature is easily recognizable: a fusion of Old School hip-hop with native and world music elements such as the Native American flute, Persian Ney, and Setar Instrument.
These unique blends turn his music into an instantly identifiable sound experience, often distinguishable by just a few notes. He is also the founder of a unique Iranian hip-hop style, rooted in the Old School essence of the 80s–90s, inspired by funk, jazz, and lo-fi, and enriched with modern beats and Iranian sonic textures.

Vahoora has worked with several acclaimed musicians and artists, including:

Hassan Parhizkar (Producer & oud, guitar, violin) / Masoud Farshadi (kamancheh, violin, oud) / Omid Ras (rapper & lyricist) / Hossein Hojati far (guitar, bass, oud) / Ramin Mahadi zadeh (saxophone) / Omid Ras (Persian Rapper) and ROK (Persian Rapper)
